Track Name: Late Summer Florida Sunset
You told me to get in the sea
But I was already drowning
It's been so many days since I have seen your face
And believe me I've been counting

And it's these late summer Florida sunsets
You know they're almost as pretty as you
And you ask me "Jason, hey are you done yet?"
And I said "girl, you know I'll never be through."
I'll never be through

I see you like a flower in bloom
But I love you down to your roots
So when come the day that all your colors fade
I'm staying right here with you

And it's those late summer Florida sunsets
You know they're almost as pretty as you
And you ask me "Jason, hey are you done yet?"
And I said "girl, you know I'll never be through."
I'll never be through
Track Name: Run For Your Life
I had a dream that you and me
Were on the run from the police
And I don't even know
And then you jumped into my car
Said "I know somewhere, it's not too far.
Come on let's go."

And then you took me to a show
I grabbed my guitar cause I was ready to go
But I woke up before I could play
And it reminded me of when I'd leave
And you would always say to me
"Oh, won't you stay."

Last time I saw you was a Monday night
I think you were getting into some kinda fight
But you know I had to run
And we had had such a good time
You sat in the seat right next to mine
Hanging out, playing games and getting drunk

You stayed there till the end of my show
I grabbed my guitar, it was time to go
But I told you I'd be back soon
And just like so many nights of my life
Where I have to tell someone goodbye
I walked out under a half-lit moon

And now I'm off to another show
I grab my guitar, I'm always ready to go
Be it a stage or a living room
Up next I'm westward bound
Don't worry I'll work my way around
And I'll be back to see you
Track Name: If A Train Leaves
They say that to get distance
Just take rate by time
But how far do you have to go
To say you were alive?

If two trains leave the station
From distant cities
One's goin’ fast, one's goin’ slow
How soon will they meet?

But life is not as simple
As a straight line railroad track
And it's never fun to wonder
If you're ever comin’ back

If it leaves westbound at half past three
How long will it take before you hate me
Whoa whoa whoa if a train leaves
If a train leaves

They say that to find speed
Divide distance by time
Come on, let's see how fast we leave
Each other behind

If two trains leave the station
And they're going separate ways
Do you think they miss each other
And hope for better days?

Got plenty of time to drink
Just rollin’ on down the line
Got too much time to think
When something's on your mind

If it leaves westbound at half past three
How long will it take before you hate me
Whoa whoa whoa if a train leaves
If a train leaves
Track Name: Night Time Rain
And I may fall asleep
Listening to this night time rain
Wash this tired summer off these streets
With all the restraint it can feign

It reminds me of years ago
Lost friends and the innocence of youth
I feel the same when everything
Around me's changed in ways i can't undo

And I am scared to death
That I'm wasting my life
Wasting my breath
And I think that the worst thing
Is never knowing
What all this means

Late nights spent wide awake
The glow of my cell phone compels
You can see in these overtaxed eyes
I haven't been sleeping very well

And I'm not sure what is wrong with me
This feeling leaves little to compare
I know one day I'll realize that
This world isnt my cross to bear

And I am scared to death
That I'm wasting my life
Wasting my breath
And I think that the worst thing
Is never knowing
What all this means
Track Name: Who I Am
Putting pressure on myself
Was never anything but bad for my health
When I can learn to sit back and relax
That's when I find myself swimming in the gap
Between the notes and words that I sing
Music pours from the silence with me

Cause I know who I am
And that makes this that much harder
For anyone to understand
Cause I know who I am

And I've had to accept some truths
Some hard facts about my misspent youth
Try as I might I don't think I can
Even pretend to act like the age I am
You tried to give me love and build a home
But you can't give away what you do not own

And I know who I am
And that makes this impossible
For anyone to understand
Cause I know, I know, yeah, I know
Who I am
Track Name: Fake It Till You Make It
I'm a walkin', talkin' fake it till you make it
Got my fingers and I'm crossin' them till they're breakin'
And for so long it was how I wanted to be seen
But from now on it's how I'm gonna be
And I'm runnin' from the sun and hope it's not settin'
I'm a gamblin' man, but you know I'm not bettin'
On anything, anything just yet

I'm tryin' to find my way through (through)
But you know it's not like someone comes along and tells you
The right thing to do
So I'll take my bewilderment
And just keep on runnin' straight ahead

It'll take all I got, pour another shot of this cheap whiskey
My vision is blurred, but you know I can still see
Anything and everything that you mean

I'm tryin' to find my way through (through)
But you know it's not like someone comes along and tells you
The right thing to do
So I'll take my bewilderment
And just keep on runnin' straight ahead

And I'll fight on, cause it's right on to keep your damn head up
When the world beats on you and you know it won't let up
And for so long it was how I wanted to be seen
But from now on it's how I'm gonna be
And I'm runnin' to the sun and hope it's still risin'
I'm a dreamer at heart, but I'm just fantasizin'
About everything, everything we could be

I'm just fantasizin', and I'm just fantasizin'
And I'm just fantasizin' about everything we could be
Track Name: Hearteyes
It's closed off, a part of me that I don't show no more
It's terrain that I need not explore
I don't need anything from anyone I know
It's something I've learned to let go

I can't see, I think there's something wrong with me
I'd look but it just seems unwise
With all these hearts in my eyes

Don't speak, don't think there's anything that you can say
That my ears can hear anyway
I can't think, my brain is shut down through and through
The way it does when I see you

I can't see, I think there's something wrong with me
I'd look but it just seems unwise
With all these hearts in my eyes

I try not to think too hard about what's gone or in the past
Good times now they're memories but they don't last, no they don't last
Sometimes my mind wanders back and forth and back to then
I never thought I'd sing a love song again

It's closed off, part of me that I don't show no more
It's terrain that I need not explore

I can't see, I think there's something wrong with me
I'd look but it just seems unwise
With all these hearts in my eyes
